MCTAC.org New SIte Launch With Contracting and Kick-Off Presentations

January 28, 2015 by Chris Liu-Beers

NYAPRS Note: All NY behavioral health providers should visit the new Managed Care Technical Assistance Center website and check out the new improvements. Sign up for the newsletter, read FAQs, and watch presentations you may have missed or share them with other staff in your program. Stay connected to MCTAC as we all prepare for changes coming in 2015!

The new and improved MCTAC.org website has officially launched!
New website launches as Kickoff Series FAQ and Contracting Presentation Video both released.

MCTAC.org emphasizes user experience in connecting providers with resources, information, and the latest news concerning technical assistance initiatives for behavioral health agencies across New York State around the transition to Medicaid managed care.

The new site will be your best source for information including:

  • MCTAC partners and objectives
  • Provider readiness
  • Tools and resources that are available now and in development
  • Upcoming and past events
  • The latest news and updates around MCTAC and New York State’s behavioral health system transitioning to Medicaid managed care.

MCTAC’s goal is to engage and provide free resources to all 877 OMH and OASAS licensed agencies in New York State as well as for organizations interested in providing Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) as part of the transformed system. With a focus on providing group and large-scale training, in-person and web-based trainings are designed to reach as many providers as possible while always including the opportunity for individual questions.

Visit the new site today and access the newly released FAQ and video recording of the recent Contracting presentation by Adam Falcone in Albany!

The FAQ was compiled over the course of a dozen in-person kick-off events held in partnership with state and city agencies and covers topics including the children’s system, billing, HCBS, housing, rates, and utilization management. On contracting, MCTAC brought in Adam Falcone who offered a comprehensive 3 1/2 hour presentation on smart managed care contracting and negotiation basics in Rochester, Long Island, Albany, and New York City.

The Kickoffs FAQ, contracting video, and other materials are available now on MCTAC’s resources page: http://mctac.org/page/get-the-right-tools/resources/
