Alert: Urge Your Legislative Representatives To Invest Resources into OMH Housing Programs!
Several weeks ago, 700 NYAPRS members and friends came to Albany to request more funding for all four types of OMH Housing Programs. It seems clear that more is needed to get these requests into the coming year’s state budget!
We need a groundswell of emails going to Albany in the next few days.
Budget decisions are being made now, and numbers of emails to legislators count!

Every mental health advocacy in New York State supports the proposition that more is needed immediately in order to save the residential system we have built and sustained with limited resources for more than 30 years. These combined efforts brought nearly a thousand people over a number of days to Albany to call for $82 million in funding.
NYAPRS advocates alone participated in over eighty meetings with legislators during the NYAPRS Legislative Advocacy Day on 2/25. Keep up the momentum of your tremendous achievements by writing to your representative today!
Meanwhile, for all of you who were unable to come to Albany, and for those of you who did, you have a second chance to take part. Keep the momentum going and act today!
