State modifies DSRIP year
By Dan Goldberg March 19, 2015
The state health department on Thursday announced the Medicaid waiver year is being modified to correspond with the state’s fiscal year.
The first year in the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program will now run April through March instead of April through December.
This will not impact when first payments go out, said Jason Helgerson, the state’s Medicaid director.
The benefit of this change is that it would give the Performing Provider Systems, which could receive more than $6 billion for health projects across the state, more time to implement their plans before they are measured on process and outcome goals.
