NYAPRS Note: This week, as we are highlighting stories of overcoming stigmatization both personally and institutionally, remember that it takes action from each of us to create reform to enable people to access supports and services. MHANYS has taken on this work by advocating for a tax check off bill that, at zero cost to the state, would allow taxpayers to contribute to mental health awareness and anti-stigmatization efforts. The bill has received support with legislators but needs emphasis today as final negotiations on budget items are being resolved. CALL NOW to support this important initiative!
