Description:
Peer-Run Organizations (PROs) and Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) play vital roles within their communities and America’s rapidly evolving behavioral healthcare system. Many of these organizations face challenges to developing infrastructure or diversifying funding. Unaddressed, these challenges can jeopardize core programming and, ultimately, organizational survival.
The term “organizational sustainability” refers to the capacity of an organization to achieve long-term success and stability, and to ensure continuity of services and quality. Sustainable organizations invest time and other resources in developing the infrastructure that they need to serve their communities well beyond the duration of any particular grant.
Advancing the Sustainability of Peer-Run/Recovery Community Organizations will provide strategies and tools for PROs and RCOs to develop their capacity, strengthen their processes, support their staff teams, maximize the effectiveness of their leadership (including board and executive leaders), and implement policies and procedures that support recovery and promote organizational stability.
Webinar participants will be able to:
- Articulate the importance of developing and following short-term and long-term sustainability plans;
- Describe the components of a successful sustainability plan;
- Identify challenges and suggest solutions to increase the ability of PROs/RCOs to build administrative infrastructure, stable revenue, and sustainability supports; and
- Access easy-to-use tools to assist with sustainability planning.
Please note: This webinar will be closed captioned and a transcript will be available following the event.
