New MCTAC Matrix Provides Comprehensive Health Plan Data

NYAPRS Note: As the public mental health system is poised to be integrated within and coordinated and funded by new Health and Recovery Plans that are operated by NYS-based Medicaid Managed Care plans, MCTAC has aptly released a very well detailed and helpful matrix that provides a broad range of contact information from the plans. While the matrix applies only to plan info in the 5 boroughs, look for it to extend to the rest of the state in the coming months.

Announcing the Plan Matrix! 

MCTAC is pleased to introduce the MCO plan matrix, an interactive tool that provides a comprehensive database of New York State Managed Care Organization information. Browse contact details, counties covered, standard access requirements, and more!

Now available: General and contracting details for adult plans in New York City.
Coming soon: Rest-of-state general and contracting information as well as utilization management, credentialing, and billing statewide.

MCTAC will work with the MCOs to update the information in the matrix at least quarterly to keep information up-to-date and to assist providers with successful plan engagement.

The matrix was developed and designed based on feedback from providers and the New York State agencies as a helpful tool to save individual providers from having to spend valuable staff hours locating and maintaining the relevant information for each plan. With a variety of information about the respective plans at your fingertips, providers are able to navigate the site by clicking on a region or searching by a plan name.

The Matrix currently covers general and contracting information for New York City MCOs (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond counties). Utilization management, billing, and credentialing information will be forthcoming, as well as plan information for the rest of New York State.
