NYAPRS Note: Here’re more resources on how New York is implementing Value Based Payment policy across all healthcare systems over the next 5-10 years.
When you go to the main VBP page, you’ll note that the state has convened a work group and subcommittees to help shape state policy in this area.
Details about the efforts of the main Work Group can be found at VBP Workgroup and of the subcommittees at:
- Technical Design I
- Technical Design II
- Regulatory Impact
- Social Determinants of Health and Community Based Organizations (CBOs)
- Advocacy and Engagement
NYAPRS representatives have served on all 6 groups, which has made for an interesting summer for all. J Yesterday, NYAPRS submitted a list of VBP policy recommendations to the leads at the Department of Health and their contractor KPMG.
Among our concerns are
- transitional technical assistance and funding to help community recovery providers to make the sufficient arrangements and network agreements to share in savings from the DSRIP initiative
- outcome measures that recognize the process of psychiatric rehabilitation and the critical importance of social determinants of health and
- beneficiary education and choice and rights protections.
We hope to host a member webinar with details from our group in the coming weeks.
