NYAPRS Note: As you’ll see below, Tom Templeton will be leaving NYAPRS in early May to return to his first love, working as a clinician focusing on suicide prevention for children and youth. In fact, as you will see from the attached flyer, he will offering a presentation on this very topic at an upcoming Bronx mental health conference at Jacobi hospital.
Tom hit the ground running in November and since then has provided invaluable service to our community, receiving much acclaim and appreciation for his efforts in both running our E News service and supporting our public policy and board committee efforts.
We will miss Tom’s great enthusiasm for our community and the work each you do each day to support them. Please join me in wishing him all the best going forward!
Dear Devoted NYAPRS eNews Readers and Friends,
Although some of you have heard, many of you have not – I’ll be leaving NYAPRS on May 2. After much toiling, I have decided to resume my work on behalf of children, specifically around suicide prevention.
While it has only been a short time, it has been my privilege to help enrich your knowledge of all things behavioral health at the local, state, and national level through our eNews service.
Over the past six months I have met several of you, and many more have sent me emails in support of the work we do. In countless ways ours was a reciprocal relationship – I learned as much as I helped you learn, if not more. For that, I’m incredibly grateful.
I am also thankful for the opportunity that Harvey and NYAPRS gave me, specifically entrusting me to manage this invaluable service. I hope I have done it justice.
I wish each and every one of you the best in your respective journeys, and have faith that the work you do will continue to make a difference in our community.
