Behavioral Health Equity Journey Awards – Nominations Due – 2/14/2025
The New York State Office of Mental Health is committed to addressing the mental health needs of all New Yorkers, with particular emphasis on the unique needs of populations that have historically and currently encountered disparities in access, quality, and treatment outcomes. The agency endeavors to mitigate these disparities through various means, including the systematic collection of demographic data, a focus on workforce diversity and inclusion, and the assurance that the mental health workforce receives training in employing best practice approaches to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
To achieve these objectives, the agency relies on the diligent efforts and commitment of individual leaders and organizations. OMH seeks your collaboration in identifying and acknowledging individuals and organizations who are making noteworthy contributions in this domain. The aim is to recognize champions who exemplify leadership and initiative through their engagement in activities designed to diminish disparities in access, quality, and recovery outcomes for marginalized communities in New York.
