DESCRIPTION:
Emotional CPR (eCPR) is a profound process of reclaiming our Connection (to self and others), embodying emPowerment, and ultimately feeling Revitalized. The certification training engages your heart and mind in an experiential and unfolding process that includes embracing mutual support. With over a decade of providing this training widely in the U.S with rapid expansion globally, the consistent feedback is that it helps us become better listeners and supporters; and it changes our perception of not only ourselves but of the world around us; it teaches us how to tap into our well of compassion and enhance all our relationships.
Thriving in these times of uncertainty means we need to practice self-care and reclaim our ability to feel connected, empowered, and revitalized. Honestly, many of us were pleasantly surprised at how effective eCPR training has been in our new virtual training space; the energy, the safety, the sense of closeness and connection are all there. We invite you to join us from wherever you are for one of these live trainings.
Those of us with lived experience of severe emotional distress have been well prepared for this global crisis because we have long known that our healing and resilience are enhanced by our connecting at a heart-to-heart level. eCPR certification training helps to alleviate the trauma of isolation and separation by laying a foundation for healing and wellness.

Training Team:

Daniel Fisher (eCPR Trainer & Mentor)
Daniel Fisher, MD, PhD – Dan’s life purpose comes from his lived experience of recovery from schizophrenia, which inspired him to dedicate himself to helping others find their voice and recover. He has been an advocate and leader within the peer-led consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement for the past four decades and one of the co-creators of Emotional CPR. He earned an MD, and completed his residency in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and has practiced as a board-certified, community psychiatrist for 30 years. In 1992, he co-founded the federally-funded National Empowerment Center and served as its executive director for 30 years and serves as President of the Board. He was a commissioner on the President’s New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. Now at 80 years old, he is focused on developing trainers of eCPR and community building.

Eddy Levin McGrath
eCPR community facilitator, somatic bodyworker and artist from Tkaronto/Toronto living in Berlin. They work with creative practices focused on liberation and healing through vulnerability, improvisation, movement and magic. Channels include dance, sound arts, somatics and group facilitation for slowing down, deep listening, queer neurodivergent expression, and personal/communal transformation. They are committed to collectively understanding of how intergenerational trauma and intersections of systemic oppressions are held in the body and can be attended to together.

Tone Puorro
eCPR community facilitator, cross-disciplinary artist and cultural worker. They were part of creating and holding Community eCPR in Berlin and it has supported them in finding rooted-ness and connection in a dynamic and quickly-changing place. They experience eCPR as a much needed space to be in feeling with others, to find ways to show up in vulnerability and authenticity with both our shared experiences and our differences. It is a chance to greet the discomfort, beauty and contradiction of being a sensing-feeling body with radical curiosity. They believe in liberation psychology – that our psychic-health cannot be separated from the conditions of our local communities and environment. They are particularly excited by how creative expression shows up in eCPR as a means of describing and exploring our multifaceted inner worlds and the dynamic energetic exchanges between us. Tone is currently an eCPR Educator and on the path to becoming a Trainer. They teach and facilitate craft events aimed at strengthening community connection and rituals for collective transformation.
