NYAPRS Note: NYAPRS is very pleased to announce that Trisha Schell-Guy, Director, Division of Program Development & Management at the NYS Department of Health, will be offering a keynote presentation on the second morning of our April 26-7 Annual Executive Seminar that will provide an update on where the state is regarding its 1115 Medicaid waiver request, with a special focus on the behavioral health aspects and impacts of the waiver. DOH released a concept paper last August suggesting a design aimed at reducing racial, disability and socioeconomic health disparities and improving health equity while keeping Medicaid expenditures cost neutral (https://health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/2021/docs/2021-08_1115_waiver_concept_paper.pdf). We are expecting to see the draft waiver document for public comment in the coming days.
