NYAPRS Note: Last month, the NYAPRS Employment Committee was able to bring you breaking news information from OMH staff about the 1915.i Home and Community Based Services Option and its ability to fund supported employment and supported education services. This 1915.i enhanced package of Medicaid services is a central feature of the state’s HARP (Health and Recovery Plan) design that health plans can apply to operate and that will add mental health and addiction related needs to the medical care they are already managing.
So….how will the HARP employment benefit work with OMH’s NYESS Employment initiative to maximize employment opportunities for New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities?
Come join our Employment Committee’s next meeting to hear those details from the appropriate OMH staff!
