The Alliance for Rights and Recovery (formerly NYAPRS) will be hosting a Hudson Regional Forum in Westchester next Tuesday (December 12th) in preparation for our upcoming 27th Annual Legislative Day in Albany! The Hudson Forum will be held from 10:30-3pm at MHA Westchester’s Sterling Community Center (29 Sterling Avenue, White Plains, NY, 10606).
You’ll have a chance to tell us about issues related to rights and mental health services you have seen at the regional level, learn about ways you can join The Alliance’s advocacy efforts from Luke Sikinyi, and learn new advocacy techniques to have your voice heard!
The forum will include presentations on how you can improve your advocacy, a networking lunch catered by SCC Café Armando, a discussion on the changes needed to improve the mental health system in New York, and ways you can advocate with The Alliance this coming legislative session. We will also raffle a full scholarship to The Alliance’s annual conference!
Come have your voice heard and learn more ways you can join efforts to improve the system! Contact Dillon Browne (BrowneD@MHAWestchester.org), AnnMarie Wilhelm (WilhelmA@mhawestchester.org), or Luke Sikinyi (LukeS@rightsandrecovery.org) for more information. See below for agenda and flyer.
