The Alliance for Rights and Recovery (formerly NYAPRS) will be hosting a Forum for the Finger Lakes Region in Rochester THIS Thursday February 8th in preparation for our upcoming 27th Annual Legislative Day in Albany on March 5th! The Forum will be held from 10:00am-2:00pm at Roc Arts and Events (215 Tremont Street, Door 3 on Floor 3, Rochester NY 14608)
Covering Workforce investments, Crisis Services, Alternatives to Forced treatment and community healing, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss what is needed in the area with mental health service providers and community leaders. Participants will get updates on the push for a statewide non-police mental health first responder model from the Daniel’s Law Coalition members and local leaders.
Attendees will also have a chance to hear about The Alliance’s Advocacy goals from Luke Sikinyi. Tell us about issues you have seen related to rights and mental health services at the regional level and learn about ways you can join our advocacy effort this year! We will also raffle a full scholarship to The Alliance’s annual conference!
Join us as we work to improve the local mental health system and achieve community healing through advocacy! Contact Cameron Farash (Cfarash@liberty-resources.org), Lisa Nichols (Lnichols@liberty-resources.org), or Luke Sikinyi (LukeS@rightsandrecovery.org) for more information.
