Dear Friends of Recovery in New York,
We have been travelling around the state to bring you the latest news from Albany on the most important topics of the day: Hospital restructuring, Medicaid redesign, and the NYAPRS 2014 advocacy agenda.
We have four final forums this season to deliver this vital information to your community!
Will you be there?
Where and When:
November 19, Batavia, NY: Terry Hills Golf Course, 5122 Clinton Street Rd. (Route #33), Batavia, NY, 11AM-2PM;
December 10, Saranac, NY: Adirondack Medical Center, 2233 State Route 86, 12– 3 PM;
December 17, Syracuse, NY: Hutchings Psychiatric Center, 800 East Genesee Street, 11AM-2 PM;
December 20, Binghamton, NY: Broome County Public Library, 185 Court Street, 11AM-2PM.
A light lunch will be provided at each of the forums.
Our forums have historically provided you the opportunity to learn and give your input around the timely issues of the day. Your participation in this event guarantees that you can bring pertinent information back to your organization, as well as offers you a chance to engage in dialogue with other leaders, advocates, and consumers in your community.
You’ll hear presentations from NYAPRS Executive Director Harvey Rosenthal and NYAPRS Director of Public Policy Briana Gilmore. Each of the forums has a special guest speaker that will be announced as we approach the date.
These discussions will especially focus on what we as a community believe are priorities for how state and Medicaid reinvestment dollars should best be used to build up our community mental health services and supports.
Please join us for this exciting opportunity! As a valued friend of NYAPRS, we appreciate your commitment to assist your community members in coordinating attendance and travel to the forum.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the event or if we can assist your efforts to promote the event to your membership by emailing us at TaraD@nyaprs.org.
