This webinar will provide a snapshot of the current peer workforce in New York City and invite opportunities to respond to workforce concerns and resource needs as identified by the New York City Peer Community. Learn about the NYC Peer Workforce Development Committee and how it came to be.
Who should attend: Peer Specialists employed full time or part-time, seeking employment, volunteering, and trainees or graduates of peer training programs. For the purpose of this webinar, the title peer specialist includes, but is not limited to peer counselors, wellness coaches, peer bridgers, recovery coaches, peer advocates, recovery specialists and peer support providers.
Participants will have an opportunity to network and share professional development resources. Supervisors are strongly encouraged to have their peer support staff participate in this important webinar.

This group is committed to drawing from the NYC peer community recommendations with which to address these concerns and ultimately hopes to support the formation of a sustainable, independent group that will promote and preserve the integrity of the NYC Peer Workforce.
