The NYS Senate’s one house budget bill included $1.3 million for veterans’ mental health initiatives. However, the Assembly did not include any funding for veterans’ mental health. Call the Assembly Committee Chairs on Mental Health and on Veterans’ Affairs asking them to support a $1.3 million veterans’ mental health initiative in the final NYS budget. The initiative will support a variety of programs to meet the behavioral health needs of veterans, including crucial peer support programs. Call TODAY!
