Recovery housing provides a living environment that offers peer support and other recovery support resources to assist individuals with entering and sustaining recovery from substance use disorders. Recovery housing is an umbrella term that includes recovery residences, sober homes, halfway houses, and othersettings. In recent years, recovery housing has received increased attention as an important recovery support service as our nation works to increase treatment to and provides services such as housing for people in recovery.
In this virtual event, SAMHSA’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) team will bring together national experts to define recovery housing, its association with recovery-oriented supports and services, and emerging opportunities to promote recovery housing in the community.
