NYAPRS Note: Stabilizing NY’s community mental health housing programs has been one of NYAPRS’ top budget advocacy issues over the past 3 years. While Governor Cuomo may not mention this in today’s 1pm State of the State address, it’s very important that we keep the issue front and center in the public discussions that will immediately follow.
Please take a minute today to click on the link below and urge the Governor to ‘Bring It Home’ for New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities. Thanks!
The “Bring it Home, Better Funding for Better Care” campaign has been asking Governor Cuomo since the beginning of October, 2017 to call for increased financial support of New York’s community-based mental health housing system.
You may or may not have participated in previous “calls to action,” but we need your help with this one. Through this link, you will be able to send a pre-written message to Governor Cuomo- urging him to take action on this important issue through his 2018-2019 Executive Budget proposal.
The process is simple– you click the link, enter your address, name, and contact information, then click send. You can also help even more by forwarding the invitation to participate in this email campaign to everyone you know. Take action now and help us get better funding for better care.
