Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) were established as a demonstration program under the federal Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 in order to provide a comprehensive range of community-based addiction and mental health services to vulnerable individuals. CCBHCs are required to provide specific types of services under the
demonstration, and receive enhanced Medicaid reimbursement rates to cover the costs of their comprehensive care.
During this Virtual Forum, Joseph Parks, MD, and Darryl Donlin, LCSW, MBA, will cover the demonstration project and it’s approach to comprehensive and coordinated mental health and addiction services. Speakers will provide context for the set up, structure, required services, and quality measures utilized in CCBHCs; will explore how CCBHCs may improve access to care and care coordination; and will discuss payment incentives associated with the demonstration project. Speakers are paid consultants for Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc.
