NYAPRS News: Even with the victory of the NY State Assembly passing HALT by a vote of 99 – 45 this legislative year and being closer than ever before to passing the HALT Act, we must not forget that NYAPRS must continue efforts with our partners advocating for this bill which still faces a steep hurdle in the Senate, and another with Governor Cuomo. To prevail, we need to keep up and even increase the pressure. We beseech your continued support by attending a multi-issue public education event. Dismantling Injustice will take place Mon., July 23, 5:30-7:30 in Senator Avella’s district in Queens at the Hillcrest Library 187-05 Union Turnpike, Fresh Meadows, NY.
This event is part of the #HALTsolitary monthly actions on the 23rd of every month in collaboration with the CA, CAIC, RAPP, CWP, VOCAL-NY, JLUSA (and others who wish to join!).
