Rally to Improve NYC’s Response to Individuals Experiencing Mental Health Crisis
One the first anniversary of the shooting death of Saheed Vassell by the NYPD, join families, City Council Members, and other advocates, as we demand reforms to prevent more deaths and injuries during police encounters.

4, 5, 6 trains to Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan, R train to City Hall
Individuals with mental health concerns and advocates request that the NYC Crisis Prevention and Response Task Force implement:
· Non-police alternatives in response to crisis situations
· More preventative care to avoid 911 calls
· Alternate number to call, not 911
· More roles for mental health peers, at all levels
· Crisis Intervention Team(CIT) Training for 36,000 police officers
