In Honor and Memoriam of Roseanne Leone
It is with great sorrow that NYAPRS announces the passing of Roseanne Leone.
Roseanne was a fire ball activist and the heart and soul of Community Access’ Advocacy Department and helped lead Community Access’ Program Participants Advisory Group every month.
She never missed a housing Rally and every Thursday’s call with the Bring It Home Campaign.
Roseanne led a group up to Albany last year for NYAPRS’ Annual Legislative Day and was one of the comics at this past year’s NYAPRS Annual Conference at the Villa Roma.
Roseanne also participated in the Art Collective and Health Division, helping others to learn to cook and brought trays of delicious pasta to every party.
Outside of Community Access, Roseanne helped Veterans and volunteered at a food bank.
Just last week Roseanne helped serve and give toys to 150 families and was so joyous that she was helping these families.
Roseanne is survived by three sons and many grandchildren.
