NYC Peer Workforce Consortium Releases New Action Planning & Implementation Guide for Providers

February 25, 2020 by The Alliance for Rights and Recovery

NYC DOHMH Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Consortium releases New Action Planning and Implementation Guide for Providers   February 25, 2020

Last year, the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene’s  Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Consortium developed an online toolkit, which included an organizational self-assessment to assess readiness for integration of the peer workforce.

As an extension of the information and resources provided by the toolkit, a new Action Planning and Implementation Guide is now available to help organizations create the changes needed to overcome barriers to peer workforce integration. The Action Planning and Implementation Guide emphasizes collaborative approaches that enhance employee buy-in and commitment to peer workforce integration within the workplace.

The Consortium appreciates the input and expertise of our partners and colleagues whose support has been central to this new resource.  We encourage you to become familiar with The Action Planning and Implementation Guide, and to incorporate the guide in your work towards our shared goal: a workforce that fully values and supports peers. You can view the Action planning and Implementation Guide online alongside the Needs Based Toolkit for Workforce Integration.
