We are heartened and encouraged that you recognize the importance of raising and discussing mental health in our LGBTQ+ people of color communities – to make it normal to say, “I’m not feeling well“, to ask, “Can you help me?“, be able to say, “I’m here for you, and I’m listening” – and to work against the shame, stigma, and discrimination; more importantly, to help members of our communities become confident and be able to embrace their healing.
We ask you to share about this gathering with your listservs, networks, on your social media platforms, with your friends, family, and co-workers and invite them to join us, to register at www.inmymindconference.com. This year’s conference focuses on the many environmental issues and factors, whether physical/external, social/internal or a combination impacting our mental health and the choices and decisions we make, with which we live.
Along with experiencing the many speakers and presentations, attendees at this year’s conference will be able to meet and network with community members from around the globe – our lives, who we are, extend beyond our neighborhoods – we are members of global communities.
We look forward to welcoming you at 10:00am EST on Thursday, Oct 8.
