FINDING HIDDEN TREASURE: MAP YOUR WAY TO FINANCIAL WELLNESS
Coming soon to a city near you
These forums are a fun and informative 1/2-day introduction to training NYAPRS has developed (based on the earlier We Can Work/We Can Save campaign) to find hidden treasure (life goals and aspirations) and create a map to achieve it – in preparation for the U.S. Dept. of Treasury transition from paper checks to electronic benefit payments. The forums are designed for people who receive disability benefits, peer facilitators, and providers in Employment Networks, PROS programs, housing programs, or those working with transition aged youth who provide services to use these tools to explore options to increase financial wellness.

NYAPRS We Can Work / We Can Save invites you to a special summer series of regional forums
Finding Hidden Treasure: Map Your Way to Financial Wellness
SAVE THE DATE! OPEN TO ALL!
We know from talking to people across the state that a majority of those who receive disability benefits want to work and save toward life dreams – including economic self-sufficiency. We also know, through countless success stories like those shared in our earlier We Can Work campaign that financial wellness is a key factor in overall wellness – and it can be achieved when people have the right information and tools.
While those receiving disability benefits continue to face many financial challenges, this special We Can Work / We Can Save summer series is designed for participants to increase financial literacy, create a plan for prosperity, identify programs that can further increase opportunities to work and save, and find out more about the US Department of Treasury transition paper checks to electronic benefits payments and the Go Direct(R) Campaign.
