NYAPRS Note: NYAPRS is pleased to announce two webinars for June, Career Chat 2.0 and Wellness and Recovery Story Circles: Build Relationships Across Cultural Differences. These two webinars offer space for conversation and sharing experience, and building community. Popular topics for Career Chat include it’s never too late to go back (to school or work), all you need is one ounce of hope, “I want my peer specialist certification and stay in peer support”, and many others. Career Chat 2.0 is a zoom meeting and because of the nature of the conversation the dialogue is limited to 75 participants.
Story Circles support personal wellness and recovery goals and improves the quality of personal and community life through collaborative partnerships. Join in the conversation today and see below for details to register!
Career Chat 2.0
Pursuing meaningful goals including certification or academic degrees is often compounded by challenges, setbacks, stigmatizing beliefs, and additional barriers. Career Chat 2.0 is a space where we share our experience and perspective and explore change. We ground this dialogue in peer support values of hope, identification, and mutuality; these principles illustrate how one person’s account of overcoming challenge can ignite another’s courage and determination. Join Jonathan, Gita, Em, and other peer supporters and colleagues for this interactive chat.
Date and Time: Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 12:00-1:30 PM EST
