209 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn NY
Program Open & Free to All
* New York’s mental health services are on their way to being
integrated with addiction and medical services via the new Health Home
and managed care designs.
* At the same time, the state is developing an ‘Olmstead Plan’
that will commit state agencies to moving people and public dollars from
segregated settings (like hospitals, adult and nursing homes, workshops
and day programs) to most integrated settings of their choice (like
apartments and jobs).
* These initiatives will forever change public mental health and
healthcare systems and will move public services’ focus to helping
people with disabilities to live as independently as possible!
* NYAPRS is also preparing for next year’s Annual Legislative Day
(January 29th) in Albany to help us educate and influence state
officials, legislators and the media.
Come and learn and give us your input on these 3 topics and more so
NYAPRS can best represent your concerns and recommendations in
Albany….at the Medicaid Redesign and Olmstead tables and during next
year’s budget and legislative session!
