Two weeks ago, Governor Hochul laid out a very exciting and ambitious plan to expand our ability to engage at risk individuals, build out our crisis continuum, improve hospital discharge planning with dedicated transitional supports and provide a broad array of housing opportunities and treatment options. Yet, such a plan can only work if we can attract and retain a high quality workforce staffing working within robust agencies.
Last year’s 5.4% COLA was a very important step but so much more is needed!
This is why NYAPRS and our colleagues are calling for an 8.5% Cost of Living Adjustment for our workforce and agencies.
WE NEED TO ENSURE THAT THE GOVERNOR FULLY APPRECIATES
HOW CRITICAL THE COLA IS: PLEASE CALL HER TODAY!
