Eligible providers can apply for $3,000 for full time Peer staff providing direct service and $1,500 for part time Peer staff providing direct service. This one-time targeted recruitment and retention investment will be available for both permanent and provisional New York Certified Peer Specialists, Credentialed Youth Peer Advocates and Credentialed Family Advocates who deliver direct Peer services in OMH licensed, funded, and designated voluntary operated programs.

Agencies can also apply for one-time payments, of $1,000 per every full-time employee eligible for the targeted investment and $500 per every part time employee eligible for the targeted investment to offset paid training time, interagency group supervision, or continuing education costs related to facilitating certification or credentialing.

Deadline for agencies to apply for the bonus dollars is January 3, 2022.

From OMH: The New York State Office of Mental Health is providing one-time targeted investments to recruit and retain Certified and Credentialed Peer Specialists and Advocates providing services in OMH-licensed, funded, and designated voluntary operated programs to improve consumer experience and outcomes. The investments will fall into two distinct categories: Retention Investment and Recruitment Investment.
