The Office of Advocacy and Peer Support Services (OAPSS) at OMH is recruiting for several positions. The Office of Advocacy and Peer Support Services (OAPSS) tackles unique and systemic issues and services affecting various groups and integral parts of the mental health system. Collaborating with recipient groups, family groups, individuals, and other critical stakeholders of NYS, the Office of Advocacy and Peer Support Services works to promote and include recipients across the lifespan and families in making sure that mental health services and supports reflect the needs and preferences of recipients and families and, above all, support hope, resilience, and recovery. The OAPSS is guided by the belief in the importance of self–help, peer support, and the potential for each person to pursue their unique resilience and recovery goals.
