NYAPRS is happy to announce the upcoming Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Awareness Day in Albany on April 24th.
As New York continues its journey towards becoming a trauma-informed state the need for education about the impact of trauma, prevention, and healing has never been greater.
Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, are potentially traumatic events in childhood (i.e. parental divorce or incarceration, violence, food insecurity, etc.,) that can have negative, lasting effects on health and well-being throughout life. ACEs are costly and preventable.
Please join us in Albany of Monday, April 24 to educate our legislators about the impact of ACEs and strategies to promote community healing.
This is an in-person event and limited scholarships will be available. Please RSVP by April 15 if you are interested in being considered for a scholarship.
