Academy of Peer Services Hudson Valley Kick-Off Event!
Thursday, January 19th, 2011 (10am-1:30pm)
Ramada, 1289 Route 300, Newburgh, NY 12550
At a time of sweeping changes in the healthcare system, it is more important than ever to foster the continued growth of peer services and their organizations in our state and across the nation. Thanks to funding from the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS), in partnership with multiple peer organizations, are launching an unprecedented training and technical assistance center for peer services in New York State on topics strategic to peer service delivery and management.
During the next four years, the Peer Services Transformation Center will offer quarterly: new online courses for staff and managers of peer-operated services; regional Communities of Practice with face-to-face and long-distance opportunities for training and collaboration; and a mentorship program through a pool of experts in delivery and management of peer services.
Come to this forum to learn about how you and your peer services can take advantage of these online and face-to-face training opportunities.
