The New York State Office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Services- Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and the State Rehabilitation Council are developing the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment Services for Federal Fiscal Year 2013 (beginning October 1, 2012).
To assist in the development of the State Plan, three public meetings are being held to gather recommendations from individuals with disabilities, their families, advocates, employers and services providers on how ACCES-VR can improve vocational rehabilitation and supported employment services. ACCES-VR is particularly interested in specific strategies and practices that will enable VR participants to engage more fully in the vocational rehabilitation process and to achieve quality employment outcomes. Discussion Questions are available to generate your ideas during the public meetings or to obtain your written comments during the public comment period (February 15, 2012 – March 16, 2012)
The current State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment Services is available for review at the ACCES-VR website.
