NEW Online Seminar: Self-Directed Psychiatric Rehabilitation Activities
The Self-Directed Psychiatric Rehabilitation Activities online seminar is designed to facilitate personal exploration, either independently or with support, through the process of considering, choosing, getting, and keeping a preferred living, learning, working, or social role.
Activity outlines, examples, and worksheets are included within each online lecture to help individuals learn about the processes through the experience of direct application. The process in this seminar is designed to assist a person to explore and learn about how to develop readiness for rehabilitation; to choose a valued role in residential, educational, vocational, and social settings; and to review and develop skills and supports that may be needed for success and satisfaction within a chosen role. Successful participation in this online seminar earns 10 Professional Development Program (PDP) hours, which can be used for continuing education purposes. Recruiting Participants
The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities has launched an Internet-based Parenting Education and Social Support Program, part of a national research study examining the effectiveness of an Internet parenting education and social support program for mothers with a psychiatric disability.

Anti-Stigma Service Learning Project for Students
The Dept. of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ is seeking persons with lived experience of mental illness to act as peers to young adults in hopes of reducing stigma.
This exciting new project, “It’s Okay to Talk About It”, is made possible by the Mental Health Foundation of Albany, NY and their Young Adults Programs to improve access to mental health-related education and services. More information click here.
