ACMHA is pleased to present a webinar on Wednesday, February 15, at 12:00 p.m. EST titled Leadership in the Age of Diversity. The presentation will increase awareness and engage in a dialogue regarding the important role of leadership and leaders to create environments that promote effective services to a racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse population.
This webinar is for any organization that wants to be successful – behavioral health providers, non-profit organizations, for-profit companies, and community-based and health care organization. As businesses, organizations should realize that diversity is an asset that requires a positive collaboration between employer and employee. In addition, the challenges that come from diversity in the service population require a type of leadership that is unfamiliar to many. Participants will be exposed to some of the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required of those in leadership positions to accomplish having both a diverse staff and culturally and linguistically competent services.
The webinar is presented by:
Ellen E. Grant, PhD, ACSW, President, First Advantage Consulting;
Vivian Jackson, PhD, ACSW, LICSW, Senior Policy Associate, National Center for Cultural Competence;
Lenora Reid-Rose, Director, Cultural Competency and Diversity Issues, Coordinated Care Services, Inc.; and
