The Office of Mental Health will be undertaking a closure of one ward at
Bronx Psychiatric Center, Bronx, New York. Also, Bronx Psychiatric
Center will be reducing the capacity of one of its licensed Transitional
Living Residences from 48 to 24 beds. Such actions shall take place no
sooner than 30 days from the date of this notice, but preparatory
actions necessary to effectuate these changes shall commence
immediately. This ward closure is in addition to one previously
announced on May 10, 2011.

The Office of Mental Health will be undertaking the conversion of one
ward at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, Queens Village, New York to a
Transitional Placement Program (TPP)

The Office of Mental Health (OMH) will be undertaking the closure of
Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in Kings County, New York and its
consolidation into South Beach Psychiatric Center in Staten Island, New
York. OMH anticipates that the effect of this closure and consolidation
will be a net reduction in the total number of inpatient beds, the
continued operation of the existing state-operated residential and
outpatient services in the borough of Brooklyn, and expansion of other
state-operated residential and outpatient services in the borough. All
such services shall be under the management of South Beach Psychiatric
Center.
The above actions will impact upon the state workforce at Kingsboro
Psychiatric Center and South Beach Psychiatric Center. OMH will develop
strategies which attempt to minimize the impact on the state workforce,
by providing assistance in obtaining state employment in OMH-operated
inpatient and community-based services or other employment
opportunities.
* Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center

wards at Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica, New York. In
addition, one additional ward will be moved to Hutchings Psychiatric
Center in Syracuse, New York. Such actions shall take place no sooner
than 30 days from the date of this notice, but preparatory actions
necessary to effectuate these changes shall commence immediately.
OMH anticipates that the effect of these actions will be a net reduction
in the total number of adult inpatient beds at Mohawk Valley and a net
increase of adult inpatient beds at Hutchings. Mohawk Valley PC will
continue operation of its existing state-operated residential and
outpatient services as well as its inpatient unit for Children and
Youth.
The above actions will impact upon the state workforce at Mohawk Valley
Psychiatric Center. OMH will develop strategies which attempt to
