Webinar Overview:

How can data resources support effective policy-making and integration of quality services for Service Members, Veterans and their Families (SMVF)?  Learn how to use key SMVF data resources and data visualization tools to motivate systems planning and to prioritize the adoption of  evidence-based practices for your own region. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

Key topics to be addressed include:  

• Empowering local and State planners in the use of Service Member and Veteran-related data sources
• Linking knowledge and information with collaborative planning processes, motivating queries and analysis about all stages and levels of integration
• Building and sharing a working data visualization Power Point and geo-centric GIS maps
• Teaching State leaders about the use of extrapolating behavioral health-related research onto county-level Department of Defense and VA data
• Increasing awareness and understanding of recent research trends and analysis in the fields of SMVF and behavioral health indicators, treatment rates for PTSD, homelessness, unemployment, and suicide rates

Representatives from State, Territory, and Tribal behavioral health systems serving Service Members, Veterans, and their Families; representatives from military family coalitions; and advocates
