Finding Hidden Treasure: MAP Your Way to Financial Wellness
An important message from the U.S. Dept. of Treasury
By March of 2013, everyone getting federal benefits by paper check will need to switch to electronic payments – direct deposit to a bank or credit union account or to the DirectExpress(R) Debit Mastercard. (www.godirect.org)
In this We Can Work / We Can Save series of regional forums, we explore ways to increase financial wellness, make a plan (map) to find hidden treasure, and answer frequently asked questions about the switch to electronic payments.
Each regional forum features a brown bag “lunch and learn” designed for Employment Network providers, benefits and work incentive practitioners, and peer facilitators to receive an orientation to NYAPRS We Can Work / We Can Save tools and guides for providers.
