Webinar Scheduled: OMH update on Medicaid waiver requests due to Hurricane Sandy
On Friday, November 9th from 3:00-4:00 p.m., OMH will be hosting a webinar to update our providers on the status of Medicaid waiver requests submitted to CMS for those providers in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy (i.e., NYC, Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, and Westchester).
The webinar will be available in listen-only mode although you will be able to submit your questions on-line. We recognize that not everyone has power at this time so we plan to hold more of these webinar updates in the future as more agencies have their power restored.
Please note that this webinar is to review what OMH has requested, the waivers have not yet been approved by CMS. OMH will provide guidance regarding application of the waivers as soon as CMS approvals, with conditions, are received. The situation is very ‘fluid’; CMS is being very responsive. More information may be available by tomorrow afternoon’s call; certainly more information will be available early next week.
