TODAY – SPECIAL SESSION OF NATIONAL COUNCIL ON DISABILITY

The National Council on Disability (NCD) will meet as a Council TODAY to hold a special meeting to review, discuss, and vote on a letter to Vice President Biden and the interagency taskforce created in the wake of the Newtown tragedy, that contains NCD policy recommendations and identifies concerns with several recent proposals to the taskforce. Vice President Biden has announced his intention to submit the recommendations gathered by the task force to President Barack Obama by next Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
This special meeting of the Council will occur by teleconference on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, ET.
