NYAPRS Note: In the flurry of recent media coverage in the wake of recent tragedies that are being associated with people with psychiatric conditions, Columbia’s Dr. Paul Appelbaum told the Times that “the Connecticut school shooting offers the kind of opportunity that only comes once every generation or two: to rethink the entire mental health system.”
Accordingly, NYAPRS is very pleased to add a very timely plenary session to this year’s Executive Seminar lineup that brings national experts like Dr. Appelbaum, Ron Manderscheid, Dr. Daniel Fisher and our own Steve Coe to “re-envision community mental health care.” Following is more information about the Seminar; look for the final program schedule and online registration information in a few days!
