Job: CEO, NY Ass’n of Independent Living Centers

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/CEO; NY ASSOC OF INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTERS (NYAIL); Albany-based; dozens of NY county-based member centers; CEO leads NYAIL in addressing systems issues that affect the lives of people with disabilities.
PREFERRED QUALS: Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant field and 10 years’ related work experience; prior experience with leadership and staff supervision; demonstrated commitment to disability rights and independent living philosophy; demonstrated clear, effective communication, and possess interpersonal and group dynamic skills; experience managing budgets/finances; demonstrated success in grant writing desired; demonstrated success advocating for human rights/social justice a plus; public relations and marketing experience a plus; knowledge of ADA and other disability rights legislation a plus; personal experience with disability a plus; bilingual or second language (American Sign Language, Spanish) a plus.
