FEGS Names Woodlock Chief Operating Officer

FEGS Health & Human Services has announced the appointment of Kristin M. Woodlock, former Acting Commissioner of the New York State Office of Mental Health, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, Woodlock will provide senior executive leadership and oversight across FEGS’ extensive portfolio of over $250 million healthcare and human service operations and programs, covering the areas of Health/Disabilities, Home Care, Housing, Employment/Workforce, Education, and Youth and Families. She will help shape and advance the organization’s plans for integration, innovation and expansion across FEGS’s healthcare and human service delivery network and working in partnership with government, managed care organizations and other third party payers, drive cost-effective programming and the highest-quality outcomes for persons served.
“Kristin brings a unique blend of executive, policy, fiscal, program and clinical leadership and experience combined with a deep understanding of NYS government, health, mental health and human service systems to FEGS,” said Gail Magaliff, CEO. “She will lead our work integrating and expanding our network of services during a time of considerable change and transformation in the health and human service sectors. The FEGS Board of Directors, Ira Machowsky, FEGS Executive Vice President, and the FEGS leadership are thrilled to have Kristin join the FEGS team.”
Most recently, Woodlock served as Acting Commissioner of the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) where she oversaw one of the largest public mental health systems in the nation with an annual budget of $6 billion. Prior to this she served as Executive Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Director, and Deputy Director, Division of Children and Family Services at OMH. Woodlock also spent over a decade at the Onondaga County Department of Mental Health, where she served as Chief Operating Officer for a $26 million mental health system serving adults and children.
Woodlock holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University and a Master of Public Administration from the Syracuse University Maxwell School.
