Call for Presentations
Deadline February 21, 2014
The Families Together in New York State Annual Conference is attended by families and caregivers of youth with social, emotional and behavioral challenges, youth, service providers, educators, policymakers and advocates. We are currently accepting workshop proposals that focus on “Building Strong Roots for Success Through Family Support and Peer Leadership.”
Preference will be given to presentations that include a peer or family member, are strength based, innovative, informational, interactive and offer effective strategies to empower participants.
Presentations will be 1 hour and 15 minutes long, and should include 15 minutes for questions. Printed handouts (for 50 people) must be included with your presentation, as this has been a request from our participants. A list of topics that families, youth and advocates are interested in may be found here.
A discounted presenter’s fee of $100.00/per person (which covers the cost of the conference registration and meals) will be offered for a maximum of two presenters.
