NYAPRS Note: Your action is needed today! Policymakers are about to finalize a budget agreement that may undo all of our efforts to strengthen Medicaid behavioral health services in advance of the January move to integrated managed care.
The Executive Budget proposal contains one of the largest allocations we have seen in decades, $120 million, that pays for managed care readiness funds for providers and plans; integrated behavioral and primary care initiatives; preservation of Vital Access provider services; an OASAS clinical component in residential settings and $30 million to ramp up 1915.i service capacity in rehabilitation, crisis, peer and family support and employment services.
These initiatives make critical investments in improving our services to people with serious mental health, addiction and medical conditions! They are in danger and need your prompt action.
We need your support to ensure that the $120 million package is in the final budget!
