OMH: Income and Benefits — Webinar on Working Towards Self-Sufficiency

July 1, 2014 by Chris Liu-Beers

NYAPRS Note: Please see below for a free webex training session provided by the Office of Mental Health:

For many people who receive benefits such as Medicaid, SSI, and/or SSDI, they often avoid looking for employment or limit their hours so they don’t lose their benefits. This webinar will give people an introduction to work incentives and programs designed to help people get back to work, without losing their safety net. Employment is one of the most important and effective tools for mental wellness and these work incentives are misunderstood and grossly underutilized.
