Director of the Apogee Recovery Center
The Apogee Center is a nonprofit organization in Hudson, New York, helping individuals within the community who are living with mental health issues. Apogee Center is about community integration for individuals with a mental health diagnosis. We enjoy helping ignite change in our community while helping individuals succeed.
The Apogee Center seeks a dynamic Director to oversee day to day operations, supervise staff, and enhance community relationships and Center services through long term planning and working together with other local resources.
The Director will be involved in advocacy on local, State and Federal levels, community outreach, networking with other local agencies and education. The Director will take an active role with peers by sharing common experiences, connecting with the community and modeling recovery beliefs and behaviors. Additionally, the Director will liaison with the Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties on a regular basis regarding fiscal and other matters.
Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, computer skills and possess the ability to travel and work outside of normal hours for events or community meetings as needed. A minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience working in the mental health field, along with the ability to model recovery as a person with mental health service usage.
All offers are contingent upon the ability to obtain Statewide Central Registry and Fingerprint clearances, plus a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean MVR.
