An adjustment in the timeline for NY’s implementation of integrated managed Health and Recovery Plans (per CMS approval):
- beneficiaries will be informed in April of their new choices, which will include:
- staying with your current health plan and identifying a prefer to get either:
- expanded behavioral health services (including Home and Community based Services) via the HARP’s expanded benefit package or
- staying with current state plan OMH services that will be added to their health plan’s benefit package
- moving to another plan that will offer HARP services since their current plan is not planning to do so.
- The HARP will then go live in NYC on July 1, when health plans get the additional state premium dollars to offer these benefits.
Health plans will apparently be getting HARP readiness assistance starting in a week or 2 and beneficiaries and providers will have more time now to get ready for HARP implementation. HARP implementation in the rest of the state will apparently get pushed back accordingly.
Stay tuned for more details.
