NYAPRS Note: If you are in the capital region tonight, join SUNY Albany School of Social Welfare’s dynamic discussion with a panel of individuals with lived experience about mental health recovery. This is an excellent example of how universities and training programs can integrate recovery-based approaches and persons in recovery into curriculum and expertise. If programs like this do not exist in your area, consider reaching out to local schools to discuss hosting an event that highlights lived experience as a part of that larger mental health narrative.
The School of Social Welfare AIMH Students invite you to join us for an evening panel discussion,
“Experts by Experience: Personal Narratives of Recovery”
Thursday, March 26th at 6:00pm
Milne 200 (located at 135 Western Ave. Albany, NY)
(Refreshments will be served at 5:30pm)
Panelists will share their personal stories of living with a psychiatric disability and what recovery means to them.
We are so excited to share this event with all of you! Please click here for the flyer.
